The last few days have been very sunny but also very cold. The northern lights have been making the night sky come alive. I can feel that summer is ending; I see it every morning. The sun is lower on the horizon, and soon it will disappear for good. And to be honest, I don’t mind. I love endless days, but polar nights have a comfort of their own. Iceland feels even more out of this world then. Beyond the northern lights, it’s an Iceland you don’t often see on Instagram. The raw, wild nature takes over, and though it may be unpopular to say, this lack of control brings me peace. So, I’m ready to embrace the darkness. But before that, let’s enjoy the most summer-like sounds we can find.
