Sólheimajökull, meaning “the glacier where the sun lives”. In fact, when Reykjavík was bathing in snow, we found the sun on the glacier and spent the whole day there, from sunrise to sunset, i.e. 4 hours. In addition, the weather was almost windless, in short – perfect recording conditions. Now I know that what has so far appeared in the “if” category is now a certainty – I will create a sound cartography of the glacier. This and others. Because they deserve it, because they are alive, change, and – what is saddest – they disappear. Their audio documentation seems to be more important than anything.
