The name of this place literally means „a waterfall of help”. Long ago, travelers who crossed the tough desert area of Sprengisandur would stop here to get water and food for their horses. This place is on the lava fields north of the Hekla volcano. It might look unassuming, but its sound is really loud and powerful.
